Located in the charming little town of Thor, next to L’Isle-sur-Sorgue, La Bastide Rose is nestled on an island that has housed a large paddle-wheel mill since the 18th century.
Housed on the right bank of the Sorgue, the property benefits in all seasons from the freshness of the river, very appreciable during the hot summer days.
Our guest house is a mansion, elegant and spacious, built in the nineteenth century.
Entirely restored by owner Poppy Salinger, it now houses five double rooms and two suites, colorful and bright, with large luxurious bathrooms.
In the middle of the three hectares of garden, you will discover a beautiful swimming pool, surrounded by oleanders.

The house and the family.
La Bastide Rose is an elegant 19th-century manor house, both simple and generous, carefully and completely restored by Poppy Salinger and her sons, the owners of the property.
Today, the family home is run by Juliette de Menthon, Poppy Salinger’s granddaughter, alongside her father, Emmanuel de Menthon. Together, they look after the Bastide, its guests, and its table, perpetuating the spirit of hospitality and heritage that has animated the house for three generations.
La Bastide Rose is above all a family home, lived-in and sincere, where guests are welcomed with care, simplicity, and warmth.
